Health and Safety
  • Provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves, and face shields to all the cast and crew members
  • Implementing social distancing measure on set, such as marking off designated areas to stand or sit and limiting the number of people one set at a time
  • Regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and shared equipment
  • Encourage frequent handwashing and provide hand sanitizer throughout the set
  • Require all cast and crew members to undergo daily health screenings, including temperature checks
  • Establish protocols for dealing with symptoms or confirmed cases of
  • COVID-19 testing and contact tracing
  • Have a first aid kit on all filming sites
  • Make sure everyone using a car has their proper license
  • Practice action scenes to ensure safety of all members

Back up plans 
  • If filming at Katie’s house would not work we could use Jorge’s house as it fits the description we give in the script
  • Monday is the outside shots so if the weather that day is bad we might have to move filming to that Friday on 2/3/23
  • Saturday is inside shooting so if there are any problems with that day for our group we can move shooting back a day to Sunday 2/5/23
  • If anyone is unable to come on the filming days we have other friends willing to sub in

Pitching Some Ideas!

Pitch #1: “A film about two ordinary high school girls that live a secret double life as agent spies for the United States of America.”      We plan to show two girls first getting ready for high school. We would film these scenes in a group member’s house. We would also have to film scenes of the girls in their spy outfits and performing stunts. This would be hard to do as we would have to use actors who can do stunts. We would also need to use a green screen to show the actresses leaping from building to building.  This may be difficult to set up and require purchasing a green screen.  Pitch #2: “A man tries to provide for his family by stealing from a convenience store, but he ends up getting caught in the act by law enforcement.”      We plan to have one person walk into the store. Production: Fixing it up!

    Today my partners and I wanted to make changes to the editing based off of our film review. So we joined a discord call right after school and started saying what each of the people we reviewed said.     Christians' parents said that the scenes could have looked more professional and less like we were messing around filming. Since we are only editing today I can't fix that so I left it till later. His parents also said that we should make the film brighter as details like the costume and landscape were hard to see. So I quickly fixed it by making it brighter so everything could be seen well.     Alexs' sister told him that the camera work could have looked smoother and that there was some shakiness seen when she watched it. We know that this would be a problem. So we want to re-film those few scenes as soon as possible.     I then told my groupmates what my sister and mom said about the film. Editing Blog: Continuing the pro

     As I opened up Davinci Resolve, I felt a mixture of excitement and apprehension wash over me. I knew that we had a lot of work to do on our short film and that the editing process could be a challenging and time-consuming one. But as I located our project file and began sorting through the footage, I became increasingly immersed in the story we were trying to tell.      However, as I worked my way through the different shots and scenes, I quickly realized that some of them needed to be stronger. In particular, I noticed that some of the shots needed proper lighting, which made it challenging to capture the intended mood and atmosphere. This realization made me appreciate the importance of lighting in filmmaking, as it can truly make or break a scene.      Because of this, I had to spend a lot of extra time editing those particular shots to try and enhance the lighting and create a more compelling visual experience for the audience.
