Production: Finishing Up Editing

My groupmates and I were editing our movie today. We completed our final film editing. I was the primary editor who also contributed all of the sound effects to the film. I was telling Christian how I was doing all the editing and talking to him about what we should do for ideas.           We began the editing process by downloading all of the scenes and placing them in the editor. This was primarily Alex's responsibility. We have to start by placing the scenes in order after downloading them. Then, in other instances, we had to cut out unneeded bits and add sound effects. We started with the music effects for the battle scene because we thought it would be the most straightforward. I started with the music effects for the battle scene because we thought it would be the most straightforward. Because our battle sequence was action-packed, I added a song that we thought would work well in an action film. I showed the footage after the edits so my groupmates could evaluate the ed

Production: Filming Some Changes

On Sunday we redid any scenes which needed to be fixed according to the people we interviewed. We thought this would go pretty fast but it ended up taking a while as we wanted the shots to look really good.     First, we re-shot any scenes where someone giggled or said something out of their lines. There were only a few scenes with this niche. In one scene where the soldiers line up in front of the leader (Griffin). Christian giggled a little to the point that we did not hear it when we reviewed the footage. Another scene we had to re-shoot was a scene where Griffin and I run at each other to fight. However, Griffin looked happy while running even though he was gonna fight me so we had to redo this scene.     Next, we shot any scenes with shaky camera work again. There were a few scenes with this problem. The first one we redid had one person in it so we did it pretty quick. Another scene had this problem which was the filming over my shoulder when I am on top of Griffin fighting

Production: Fixing it up!

Today my partners and I wanted to make changes to the editing based off of our film review. So we joined a discord call right after school and started saying what each of the people we reviewed said.     Christians' parents said that the scenes could have looked more professional and less like we were messing around filming. Since we are only editing today I can't fix that so I left it till later. His parents also said that we should make the film brighter as details like the costume and landscape were hard to see. So I quickly fixed it by making it brighter so everything could be seen well.     Alexs' sister told him that the camera work could have looked smoother and that there was some shakiness seen when she watched it. We know that this would be a problem. So we want to re-film those few scenes as soon as possible.     I then told my groupmates what my sister and mom said about the film. My sister said that the effects looked weird and should be touched up to look

Production: Time to Review Some Film!

Today I grabbed my finished product to show some of my family members my film. I wanted to get some feedback on our film so far. So I decided to go to the people I trust most to give feedback to my sisters because I knew they would be ruthless.     I first asked my younger sister to review the footage. We watched it together really quick and then I asked her what she thought I could improve. She said that some of the effects looked wonky. I grabbed a notepad and wrote down whatever she said. So I could review it with my groupmates later. She also said that the cameras should have been smoother. So I jotted that down as well.     I then asked my other younger sister who is a little bit older than the other one what she thought of it. She was blunt and said she is not a fan of action themes. So I got my mother to do review the film instead. My mom told me that we should add more emotion to our acting which I sort of agreed with. Emotionless line delivery could ruin our film, especia
